If you deal with Tents and Decor you must be aware of the Fire Marshall who will inspect the tent and anything you put in the tent. We hung about 250 paper lanterns in a 100 x 50' tent. The paper lanterns needed to be "fire retardant" to pass inspection. This product sprayed on perfectly with no discoloration to the white lanterns. I ended up using only 1-spray bottle and I purchased 3-bottles. Bottom line. It works and you don't need that much of it to make any fabric or paper flame resistant, fire retardant.
Great product-great price

Q:how long does it take for the spray to dry?
A:A few minutes up to an hour - depending on the humidity, how thick it is applied, etc.
Q:Silly question! my fiancé wants to get married on an oil rig site and in order to be able to walk onto the site you have to wear fire resistant clothing. obviously I don't want to wear jeans and a t-shirt so I can use this on a wedding dress and not ruin the fabric? will it meet FR requirements for the rig site?
A:We do not recommend using this product on clothing.
Q:Will this produce effectively treat a wicker chair?
A:We recommend using this product on our fabrics. We do not suggest using it on a wicker chair.
Q:Can you spray OSB board with this and meet the NFPA # 701 test?
A:I'm sorry but OSB board cannot be sprayed with anything to make it meet the NFPA #701 test.
A:No, the NFPA 701 is just for fabric fire retardant, the standard for wood, lumber, plywood or OSB is the NFPA 703
Q:I make silk and polyester fabric lamp shades. Can I use this on them -- and will it make the fabric stiffer and/or discolor or stain the fabric?
A:This is used for porous material. I would suggest testing it on a small area before spraying it directly on the lampshade itself.
Q:Although this product comes up as decoration spray, it says fabric spray. Is it good for paper and mylar decorations as well?
A:Paper and mylar cannot be sprayed with this spray as they are not flame retardant or porous items. This flame retardant spray is for porous materials such as fabrics like gossamer.
Q:If you use this product to spray seamless paper, will it make a painted design on the paper run? Should you spray the paper first and then decorate it with paint?
A:I recommend that you spray the paper and then paint to lessen the chance of the paint running.
Q:I am thinking of using this product on our white sheets at church for our backdrops. The fire marshal here in California needs a certificate to prove that the material is fire proof otherwise what we already bought at JoAnn Stores will be put to waste . Will there be one available to prove to them that it is legit? Please let me know. Thanks!
A:Please contact our customer service dept Mon-Fri 7am-9pm EST for information on this Flame Retardant Spray.
Q:Is this product sold locally in the Tidewater area, and if so, where can I purchase it?
A:We do not have a retail location. We are strictly online, catalog and phone orders.
Q:Could you spray this on the ground so that it won't catch fire?
A:I do apologize, but I do not think that this would work for what you need. It is ment for fabrics and such.
