I can't brag enough on this fabric! It has brought more complements than any other fabric I've purchased. I have used it in two projects, so far, and will for several more. It sews fairly well, some slipping, but that is common for chiffons. I read other reviews before purchasing, noting that most said it was more purple than blue. However, this depends on the lighting. I was searching for a two-toned fabric when I stumbled on this find. When it moves and/or light reflects on it, it changes colors. Fascinating! I believe it is a cross weave of blue and purple. Lightweight, very sheer, and drapes beautifully. Compared to other iredescents, especially chiffons, it's an excellent bargain. Definitely recommend!

Request a sample of the material before you purchase. I have ordered both the purple in 2011 and the blue in 2012. The material is absolutly beautiful! But in my opinion the Purple Iridescent Chiffon should be labeled hot pink/magenta because the purple material reflects more pink and the blue should be labeled Purple Iridescent Chiffon because the blue material reflects more purple.
